Waitrose food now disappeared from Japan

Updated 30 December 2015

Waitrose foods were long available in the Daimaru Peacock chain and that spread to other Aeon supermarkets when they bought the Daimaru stores, but it appears that was just to clear the backlog of stock and unfortunately it’s a month or so since I’ve found anything, despite my best efforts. Will keep you updated if I do see any last dregs anywhere…

  1. Oat crunch (kind of granola stuff) also now available in some My Basket local Aeon supermarkets

Visiting son for Xmas. Good supply of Waitrose food in import section of Aeon in Shinonome (about 10 mins from Toyosu station). Tins of baked beans only 100 yen .. got a dozen ! Still plenty left.

Found tons of Waitrose Essentials Beans, Jam, Pasta and other canned stuff at my local Aeon near Musashi Sakai. If it`s there in the middle of nowhere other Aeons must have a little section – note it`s just 3 shelves. Not much fanfare about it, but was well-stocked. Come before I do, because I buy all the beans available! (This was in Jan 2016)

  4. Thanks, great tip. I’ve been to five or six Aeon and Peacock stores without finding anything recently, but will still pop in on the off chance after reading this.
